Both House Groups meet at the Steele’s Wednesday, February 13th from 7:00 to 9:00 PM for a totally spectacular Valentine’s Day Party.

This is a week to show love, so everyone show up to the party with plenty of canned goods or other non perishable food items, and we’ll donate them to the food pantry to help the community.

Last names beginning with A-I bring some food – something snacky. J-R bring drinks. S-Z bring desserts.

So, you’re getting excited about WinterBlast, and all the sudden you have an epiphany, “Holy coleslaw, I haven’t packed yet!” Here’s a list of stuff you need to bring:

[ ] Bedding (sleeping bag & pillow).
[ ] Outdoor clothing (it’s going to be COLD. Don’t pull a Matt Miller and come without a heavy winter coat, gloves, hat, etc.).
[ ] Casual clothes (for inside)
[ ] Toiletries (bath towel, and all the other things you’ll need to keep yourself smelling fresh and clean for the weekend).
[ ] Spending money (snacks at camp or anything extra you may wanna get).
[ ] Bible, pens, and a journal.

Don’t bring: firearms, drugs, fireworks, or electronics (cell phones are ok, but don’t let them distract you).

Remember to be at Wawasee Bible on Friday at 5 PM. Just drop your stuff off in the trailer, and come in the Fellowship Hall entrance, and grab dinner. We’re pushing off at 6 PM sharp, so please don’t be late.

We’ll be back at church around 3:30 PM on Sunday.

salco’s premier youth retreat WinterBlast is coming February 1-3, 2013, and is available for 8th through 12th graders. This year we’re heading to Bair Lake Bible Camp in Jones, MI for fun in the wintery snow. Our theme is “Living for Jesus” and we’re privileged to have gifted youth-speaker Greg Speck teach us. The cost is $135, and is due Sunday, January 13th, along with two forms that can be downloaded here.

Family and friends of all ages, join us for our tenth annual Turkey Bowl. This is a fun touch football tournament we traditionally play every Thanksgiving. Just show up at the Steeleyard (aka the Steele’s backyard) at 8 AM, and we’ll wrap everything up by 10. It’s a great way to build up your appetite for lunch! Guys! Bring your gaming console, hookups, favorite games, your flatscreen TV, $5 for pizza, and whatever else you’ll need for overnight to this year’s MANLY MAN’S NIGHT! MMN is an overnight feast of manly activities and is taking place Wednesday, November 21st, 5 PM at the church. We’ll conclude at 7 AM the next day in time for Turkey Bowl X.

The School of Worship is not just a band, but a movement of equipping and mobilizing young worship leaders and musicians all across the country. These young people are passionate about pouring back into their generation with their music. Through songwriting, worship leading, concerts, and band workshops, they are reaching out to see others like themselves raised up to know God and live out the purpose God has on their lives. Their newly released sophomore album, titled “Christ In Me” is currently available in Christian bookstores all across the country.

Just in the past two years, The School of Worship Band has toured all over America with Teen Mania’s youth event, “Acquire The Fire”, playing in front of over 200,000 people each year. This movement is sweeping internationally as they played in Mexico, Canada, and throughout the country of Norway. This up and coming band has had the privilege to play with respected bands such as Newsboys, Kutless, Skillet, Leeland, David Crowder Band, Israel & New Breed, and more! Yet wherever they go and in everything they do, their heartbeat is simply to see God lifted up…just as their new song release “Christ In Me” declares, “We lift You up higher and higher…we proclaim that You are God!”

The saltco House Groups Halloween Costume Party kicks off at 6:30 PM in the Student Center. Don’t be lame; wear a costume. Here’s what to bring: if your first name begins with A-G bring something to eat. H-O bring a dessert. P-Z bring something to drink.

The 10th Annual Great Pumpkin Hunt begins in the Student Center Sunday, October 28th at 5:00 PM sharp. Join this hunt that combines mind-bending clues, body-twisting challenges, and ends with 50 lbs. of delicious, sugary candy. We’ll rap up and have everyone back at the church at 8:30.

FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY!

Get your 4-6 person team together for the ever-exciting Wiffle Tournament held Monday September 3rd beginning at 11 AM. All games are to be played at historic Steeleyard Family Stadium (AKA the Steele’s back yard). The tournament is free, and t-shirts can be purchased for $7 while supplies last. A minimum of 1 male and 1 female per team. Just come register your team the morning of the tournament.

jBOX and House Groups begin on August 29 with the Fall Kickoff event. 6:00 – 9:00 PM in the Student Center. Come for free food, fun stuff to do, giveaways (including an iPad!!), live music, and a spoken message on the truth of Jesus Christ.
